Football Game Preview: Shadyside Tigers vs. Monroe Central Seminoles + How To Watch

The Shadyside Tigers will head out to face off against the Monroe Central Seminoles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Shadyside is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Shadyside came into this matchup off a tough 48-point loss last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Bridgeport by a score of 24-21 on Friday.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Monroe Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They were the clear victors by a 28-6 margin over Cameron on Friday. Considering the Seminoles have won three contests by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Monroe Central is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 32.8 points over those games. As for Shadyside, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Shadyside took a serious blow against Monroe Central in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 52-0. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
