It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Oak Ridge ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Rocklin Thunder, sneaking past 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Trojans: when they faced off against the Thunder on Tuesday, they had to take a 6-4 defeat.

Oak Ridge got a great performance from Carson Hudack as he didn't allow a single earned run over 5.1 innings pitched. Hudack has been consistent: he hasn't given up a single earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Noah Teply, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since April 2nd. Hudson Vetter was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one double.

Oak Ridge's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-15. As for Rocklin, they moved to 13-14-1 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Oak Ridge will square off against Pleasant Grove at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Rocklin, they will challenge Woodcreek at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
