Volleyball Recap: Campion Academy Takes a Loss

Campion Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Rocky Mountain Lutheran Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Campion Academy was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Rocky Mountain Lutheran work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-13, 25-16.

Campion Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Rocky Mountain Lutheran, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season.

Campion Academy will square off against Denver Eagles Christian HomeSchool at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rocky Mountain Lutheran, they will head out on the road to face off against Victory Prep Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
