Flag Football Recap: Grandview Wolves vs. Cherokee Trail Cougars
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Grandview). They blew past the Cherokee Trail Cougars 53-0 on Saturday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Wolves with their most commanding win of the season.
Grandview's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brooke Sullivan, who threw for 167 yards and four touchdowns, and also picked up 51 receiving yards and one TD. Sullivan also deserves a shoutout for her performance on D, making two total tackles and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception. Another pass catcher making a difference was Abby Kirkpatrick, who gained 155 total yards and three touchdowns.
Grandview's defense stepped up as well, laying out Madison Adkins four times. The heavy lifting was done by Collette Esquibel and Jayden Schwabauer, who racked up all four sacks between them.
