Baseball Recap: Taylor Victorious

Taylor was handed a 16-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Teague Lions. The win was some much needed relief for the Ducks as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Taylor saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Ochoa, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. That run marked the first that Ochoa has scored this season.

Taylor's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Teague, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2-1.

Coming up, Taylor will host Lexington at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Ducks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season. As for Teague, they will head out to take on Hillsboro at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
