Baseball Recap: Desert Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against San Miguel last Tuesday, Desert Christian came back down to earth. The Eagles came up short against the Benson Bobcats on Friday, falling 12-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-5 back in March.

The loss snapped Desert Christian's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-8 record. As for Benson, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-9-1.

Looking ahead, Desert Christian will be playing at home against Tombstone at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Benson, they will head out on the road to take on Willcox at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
