Baseball Game Preview: Independence Eagles vs. Beech Buccaneers

For the second straight game, Independence will face off against Beech. The Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the Buccaneers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Independence is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

Independence is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Tennessee's top teams: Beech, who was ranked 23rd at the time (Independence was ranked 17th). The Eagles never let the Buccaneers get on the board and left with a 2-0 win on Friday.

Independence's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 26-11. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Beech, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 25-18.
