The victory continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Golden Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

Rio Americano was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (105-100), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 25-22, 20-25, 15-25, 25-20, 15-13.

Rio Americano's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Adam Wixom led the charge by getting 17 assists and eight digs. The dominant performance also gave Wixom a new career-high in kills (two). David McCarl was another key player, getting 12 digs and two assists.

Rio Americano's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-6. As for Del Oro, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-7.
