Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wellborn). They were the clear victors by a 24-11 margin over the Saks Wildcats on Tuesday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Jackson Clark made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Those two hits allowed gave him a new career-low. He was even better at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing five bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Those four runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Dozer Hayes and Liam Avery did most of the damage at the plate: Hayes went 4-for-5 with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base, while Avery scored four runs and stole three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
