Softball Recap: Gorham Extends Winning Streak to Five

Gorham came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Falmouth Navigators get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Rams, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Gorham got a massive performance out of Abbie Buckelew, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Adyson Hutchins, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Gorham was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .600. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in five consecutive matches.

Gorham's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Falmouth, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.
