Soccer Recap: Sunnyside Comes Up Short

After flying high against West Valley last Tuesday, Sunnyside came back down to earth. The Grizzlies fell just short of the Davis Pirates by a score of 2-1 on Friday. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

The defeat snapped Sunnyside's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-3-1 record. As for Davis, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Sunnyside will challenge rival Wenatchee at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Davis is set to face off against their familiar foe West Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
