Softball Game Preview: Crimson Cliffs Mustangs vs. Logan Grizzlies

For the second straight game, Crimson Cliffs will face off against Logan. The Mustangs will square off against the Grizzlies at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Crimson Cliffs is coming into the game hot, having won their last nine games.

Crimson Cliffs is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Logan a 1-0 shutout.

For Logan's part, Cambree Cooper spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up 12 Ks. Cooper has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Logan saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Miley Allen, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

With the loss, Logan broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-12. As for Crimson Cliffs, their win bumped their record up to 15-10.
