Volleyball Recap: Ascend Leadership Wins Going Away Against Central Carolina Academy

Ascend Leadership had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Central Carolina Academy on Thursday. The Aviators were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-14, 25-17.

Ascend Leadership found their leader in freshman Anneke Anderson, who had four aces and one assist. Those four aces set a new season-high mark for Anderson.

Ascend Leadership was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 25 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September.

Ascend Leadership now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Central Carolina Academy, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.

Coming up, Ascend Leadership will venture away from home to square off against Chatham Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central Carolina Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Clover Garden School on the 3rd.
