Football Recap: Killeen Kangaroos vs. Ellison Eagles
Killeen was the 34-28 winner over Ellison when they last played one another back in October of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Killeen Kangaroos took a 58-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ellison Eagles. The Kangaroos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Ellison's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Travaris Turner-Smith, who picked up 287 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Turner-Smith's longest reception was for an incredible 88 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Sidney Holland, who threw for 416 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 16.6 yards per attempt.
Killeen's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Ellison, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.
Killeen will host Lake Belton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ellison, they will take on Shoemaker at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
