On Monday, it was close, but the Senath-Hornersville Lions sidestepped the Westwood Baptist Academy Eagles for a 45-43 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Katie Gross, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 boards. Gross has been hot recently, having also posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Sydney Hawley, who went 7 of 16 en route to 15 points and three steals.

The win got Senath-Hornersville back to even at 2-2. As for Westwood Baptist Academy, they moved to 3-1 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Senath-Hornersville won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Southland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westwood Baptist Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against Eagle Ridge Christian at 5:00 p.m. on December 17th.
