Baseball Recap: Cresskill Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Cresskill duked it out with Tenafly on Saturday. The Cougars took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Anthony Santilli made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-4. Angelo Cristantiello was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Cresskill's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2-1. As for Tenafly, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cresskill will take on Emerson at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Tenafly, they will face off against Pascack Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
