Volleyball Recap: Hamilton Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Baldwyn, Hamilton was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the New Site Royals. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Royals recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Hamilton had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 26-24, 25-16, 25-18.

Despite the defeat, New Site saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Johna Kate Lindley had 14 kills, three blocks, and two aces. Ayla Stanley was another key player, getting eight assists and five digs.

Hamilton's victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for New Site, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-11.

Looking ahead, Hamilton will host Baldwyn at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. New Site does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
