Basketball Game Preview: Slinger Owls vs. Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes

Slinger is 1-9 against Whitefish Bay since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Slinger Owls will be playing at home against the Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Slinger's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Slinger will bounce into Friday's match after beating Homestead, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Slinger slipped by Homestead 70-69 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Whitefish Bay). They blew past West Bend East 93-41 on Tuesday. The Blue Dukes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 23 points or more this season.

Whitefish Bay's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.6 points. As for Slinger, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Slinger beat Whitefish Bay 58-48 in their previous matchup back in February. Will Slinger repeat their success, or does Whitefish Bay have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
