Basketball Recap: Miyamura Comes Up Short

Miyamura was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Gallup Bengals and fell 100-9. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Mexico basketball rankings (they are ranked 105th, while the Bengals are ranked fourth).

Miyamura's record now sits at 1-22. As for Gallup, their win bumped their record up to 21-2.

Looking ahead, Miyamura will challenge Kirtland Central at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Kirtland Central will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Miyamura surely won't give up without a fight. As for Gallup, they will take on Bloomfield at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
