Basketball Recap: North Posey Piles Up the Points Against South Spencer

North Posey came tearing into Tuesday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They really took it to the South Spencer Rebels for the full four quarters, racking up a 68-34 win. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 71st, while the Rebels are ranked 233rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Alyssa Heath, who went 9 of 16 en route to 23 points along with seven boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyleigh Bender, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds.

North Posey was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

North Posey has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.6 points per game. As for South Spencer, they now have a losing record at 10-11.

North Posey has already played their next game, a 44-37 victory against Forest Park on the 30th. South Spencer has also already played their next match (against Washington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
