Climax-Scotts dropped down to 6-2 on Friday, ending the team's six-game streak of wins. They lost 46-20 to the Mendon Hornets. The contest marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

As for Mendon, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.1 points on average this season.

It was another big night for Owen Gorham, who rushed for 242 yards and four TDs while picking up 10.5 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 102 rushing yards. The team also got some help courtesy of James T Lux, who rushed for 111 yards and one touchdown on only 13 carries.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Climax-Scotts will venture away from home to challenge Pittsford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least 31 points in their last seven matchups. As for Mendon, they are taking a road trip to take on Lenawee Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hornets will need to watch out since the Cougars have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests.
