Volleyball Recap: Cyprus Comes Up Short

Cyprus lost against Taylorsville back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Pirates fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 3-2. The Pirates just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Cyprus sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 22-25, 25-11, 23-25, 15-7.

Cyprus' loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Taylorsville, they moved to 8-12 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Cyprus wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Kearns on the 22nd. As for Taylorsville, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 win against East on the 18th.
