Softball Recap: Eastern Gets the Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Eastern walked away with it. They came out on top against the Wabash Apaches by a score of 7-3 on Monday.

The team relied heavily on Emillia Andrews, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last eight games she's played. Jenna Oman was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

The win got Eastern back to even at 13-13. As for Wabash, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season.

Eastern will square off against Rochester at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Zebras will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Comets surely won't give up without a fight. Wabash does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
