Concord suffered their closest defeat since February 28, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of the Union City Chargers by a score of 52-49. The Yellowjackets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Chargers earlier this season, when they won 59-47.

Concord lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Connor Stevens, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Concord is 10-3 when Stevens posts ten or more boards, but 3-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jett Smith, who posted 17 points.

Concord's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Union City, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.
Concord does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Union City, they have already played their next matchup, a 78-36 defeat against Lumen Christi Catholic on the 22nd.
