Volleyball Recap: Ryan Takes a Loss

Ryan saw some tournament action on Thursday. They fell 2-0 to the Panther Creek Panthers.

Ryan was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Panther Creek work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 29-27, 25-16.

When it comes to explaining why Ryan lost, don't look at Emery Hodge. Despite the final result, she had seven digs and two aces. Hodge has been hot recently, having also posted 12 or more assists the last three times she's played.

Ryan's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Panther Creek, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6.

Ryan's road trip will continue as they head out to face Royse City at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Panther Creek, they will take on Whitehouse in a tournament on Thursday.
