Central hadn't done well against Orono recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Red Devils walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Riots. For the Red Devils, this counts as revenge for the 11-1 win the Riots walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2025.

The victory made it two in a row for Central and bumps their season record up to 4-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Orono, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Central will face off against rival Dexter at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Orono is set to challenge their familiar foe Mount View at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
