Volleyball Recap: Rushville Wins Going Away Against Waldron

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Batesville, Rushville was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Everything went their way against the Waldron Mohawks as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mohawks, too.

Rushville never let Waldron on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-21, 26-24.

Among those leading the charge was MACY BLEVINS, who had 11 digs. That's the most digs she has posted over her last six contests. ELLA BOWLES also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Rushville was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Waldron only served eight aces.

Despite the loss, Waldron still got an impressive performance from Emerson Lindsey, who had 19 digs, six kills, and three aces. Lindsey has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last ten times she's played.

The win got Rushville back to even at 7-7. As for Waldron, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-10.

Rushville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Knightstown on the 16th. As for Waldron, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Greenwood Christian Academy on the 16th.
