Basketball Recap: Whitney Takes a Loss

Whitney lost against Robinson last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Whitney Wildcats took a 39-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Robinson Rockets. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Robinson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brice McCurdy, who posted four points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Oren Woodard, who had six points.

Whitney's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Robinson, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Whitney will welcome Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Robinson will take on Centerville in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Robinson is facing Centerville at the right time seeing as Centerville is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
