Softball Recap: Lansing Drops Season-High Score on Charles O. Dickerson

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lansing). They put the hurt on the Charles O. Dickerson Blue Raiders with a sharp 24-11 win on Monday. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Blue Raiders recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Anya Godert was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Marissa Nolan, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Lansing always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .682. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Lansing's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Charles O. Dickerson, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Looking ahead, Lansing will welcome Whitney Point at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Charles O. Dickerson, they will head out to take on Spencer-Van Etten at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
