Softball Game Preview: Lampasas Badgers vs. Salado Eagles

Lampasas is 0-10 against Salado since March of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Badgers will welcome the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. This will be Lampasas' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.

Lampasas' tournament run continued when they took on Lake Belton on Saturday. The Badgers came up short against the Broncos, falling 14-4.

Madison Magilke was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and four RBI.

Meanwhile, while Salado put up some runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Goose Creek Memorial. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Patriots. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Salado's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Lampasas, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.

Lampasas might still be hurting after the 16-5 loss they got from Salado when the teams last played back in March of 2025. Can the Badgers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
