Softball Recap: Wilson Warriors vs. Colbert County Indians
Wilson lost against Colbert County two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Warriors fell just short of the Indians by a score of 3-2. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Wilson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emorie Clemons, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
Wilson's loss dropped their record down to 22-18. As for Colbert County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-14-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wilson will take on Muhlenberg at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Muhls have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season. As for Colbert County, they will challenge Red Bay at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Indians are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a 15-game losing streak.
