Football Recap: Edison Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake + How To Watch

The Edison Chargers earned a 21-10 win over the Summit SkyHawks on Thursday. Given the Chargers' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 80th, while the SkyHawks are ranked 211th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Edison has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.0 points on average over those games. As for Summit, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2-1.

Edison will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Los Alamitos at 7:00 p.m. on the 16th. The Chargers will need to watch out since the Griffins have now posted at least 31 points in their last six games. As for Summit, they have already played their next contest, a 58-0 victory against Kaiser on the 9th.
