Basketball Recap: Shawnee's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Shawnee entered their contest against W.E.B. DuBois Academy on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Shawnee Golden Eagles fell to the W.E.B. DuBois Academy Lions 58-52. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Shawnee's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-12. As for W.E.B. DuBois Academy, their win bumped their record up to 7-13.

Shawnee will be playing at home against Western at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Western knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Shawnee likes a good challenge. W.E.B. DuBois Academy has already played their next match, a 67-61 loss against Oldham County on the 1st.
