Volleyball Recap: KIPP Esperanza's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against KIPP San Jose Collegiate, KIPP Esperanza was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the San Francisco Christian Trojans. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-19, 10-25, 25-14.

Despite the loss, San Francisco Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Gabby Rivera had 12 aces.

KIPP Esperanza's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-4. As for San Francisco Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

KIPP Esperanza has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Pescadero on the 23rd. After both having extra time off, San Francisco Christian and The Kehillah School will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
