If Scripps Ranch wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played University City, they should've done a better job of containing Dylan Griffin. The University City Centurions escaped with a win on Friday against the Scripps Ranch Falcons by the margin of a single free throw, 45-44 thanks in part to Griffin, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 boards. His evening made it 11 games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points.

Another player making a difference was TyShaun Harris, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. He has become a key player for University City: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least ten boards, but 9-11 otherwise.

The victory got University City back to even at 12-12. As for Scripps Ranch, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.

University City didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-46 loss against Christian on the 8th. As for Scripps Ranch, they have also already played their next game, a 63-60 defeat against Helix on the 8th.
