Basketball Recap: Abundant Life Takes a Loss

Abundant Life lost against Union Christian Academy two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Abundant Life Owls fell 35-26 to the Union Christian Academy Eagles.

Despite the loss, Abundant Life saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Rosie Townsend dropped a double-double with 12 points and 12 boards. Townsend is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Bates, who posted six points and ten boards.

Abundant Life has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Union Christian Academy, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-9.

Abundant Life didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 43-11 win against Crossover Prep on the 13th. As for Union Christian Academy, they have also already played their next matchup, a 43-39 victory against Mount Ida on the 7th.
