Softball Recap: Bagdad Sultans vs. San Manuel Miners
Bagdad was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 18-14 to the San Manuel Miners. The Sultans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Miners earlier this season, when they won 15-0.
Anna Williams was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in four of her six plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabel Carpentar, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.
Bagdad's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for San Manuel, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-10.
Bagdad does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for San Manuel, they will welcome Hayden at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
