Baseball Recap: Oregon Comes Up Short

Oregon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rock Falls Rockets. The game snapped a strange streak: the last five times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Oregon's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Rock Falls, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-7-1.

Coming up, Oregon will head out on the road to square off against Dixon at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rock Falls, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 7-3 loss against Newman Central Catholic on the 23rd.
