Basketball Game Preview: Glenwood Titans vs. Collinsville Kahoks

Having just played yesterday, the Glenwood Titans will get right back to it and host the Collinsville Kahoks at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

On Friday, Glenwood came up short against Decatur Eisenhower and fell 51-41.

Meanwhile, Collinsville strolled past O'Fallon with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 62-47. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Kahoks.

Collinsville's win came from a few key players Glenwood will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Stanley Carnahan, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Collinsville is 8-3 when Carnahan posts eight or more boards, but 7-10 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Donovan Coates, who went 5-for-12 on his way to 16 points and five assists.

Collinsville was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive games.

Glenwood dropped their record down to 17-9 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Collinsville, their victory bumped their record up to 15-13.

Glenwood might still be hurting after the 55-32 defeat they got from Collinsville in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Thankfully for Glenwood, Zach Chambers (who went 10-for-15 to rack up 21 points and seven rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
