Baseball Game Preview: Kinsley Coyotes vs. Stanton County Trojans

The Kinsley Coyotes will challenge the Stanton County Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Kinsley has four straight victories, Stanton County has nine straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Kinsley's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Minneola with a sharp 10-0 win. Considering the Coyotes have won 11 games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Stanton County came up short against Bucklin on Thursday and fell 5-1. That's two games in a row now that the Trojans have lost by exactly four runs.

Kinsley's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-6. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Stanton County, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.
