Baseball Recap: Lincoln Golden Lions vs. Licking Heights Hornets        
        
		
            
 With a playoff game on the line, Lincoln rose to the challenge  on Monday. They were the clear victor by  a  10-2 margin over the Licking Heights Hornets. The  win was familiar territory for Lincoln who now have three in a row.
 Lincoln got a great performance from  Landon Ringhiser as he  struck out eight batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned runs off   five  hits.
 At the plate,  Bryce Evans and  Nick Wieland did most of the damage at the plate:  Evans  went 2-for-3 with three  runs, four  RBI,  and a  stolen base, while  Wieland  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Logan Brockman, who  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances.
 On Licking Heights' side,  Maxim Fink made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jake Lopinto, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-2.
 Lincoln pushed their record up to 13-12 with that  victory, which was their fourth straight  at home. As for Licking Heights, they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 7-17.
 As of now, neither Lincoln nor Licking Heights have any future games scheduled.
