Softball Recap: Cory-Rawson Victorious

Cory-Rawson proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 13) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Arlington Red Devils 13-11. The Fighting Hornets haven't had any issues with the Red Devils recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Addison Inbody was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 3.7 RBI per game. Another player making a difference was Addyson Duffman, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

The victory got Cory-Rawson back to even at 2-2. As for Arlington, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Cory-Rawson will venture away from home to challenge Elgin at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Comets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.5 runs per game on average), something the Fighting Hornets will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Arlington, they will face off against Van Buren at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Red Devils' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
