Basketball Recap: Ten Straight Home Wins for Freeman

Freeman had won nine straight home games dating back to last season and Addie Morton did her part to make it ten on Wednesday. The Freeman Mavericks skirted past the Godwin Eagles 40-38 thanks in part to Morton, who posted 23 points. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Freeman's points.

When it comes to explaining why Godwin lost, don't look at Kensey Foster. Despite the final result, she scored 15 points and five boards. Lakelyn Bostian was another key player, putting up four points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Freeman has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Godwin, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4.

Freeman has already played their next contest (against Deep Run), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Godwin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-43 loss against Glen Allen on the 31st.
