Football Recap: Lithia Springs Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Lithia Springs extended their losing streak to five on Friday, dropping them down to 1-6. They were dealt a 49-0 defeat at the hands of the East Paulding Raiders. The Lions were not able to make up for their loss to the Raiders from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

As for East Paulding, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-3. Considering they have won three matchups by more than 28 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

East Paulding's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bode Spence led the charge by throwing for 161 yards and three TDs while completing 85% of his passes. What's more, Spence racked up 146 passer rating, the most he's had since back in August of 2024. Jason Green was another key pass catcher, picking up 65 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Lithia Springs is set to challenge their familiar foe Rome at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, East Paulding will take on rival Alexander at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
