Volleyball Recap: Manchester Falls Despite Big Games from Ryley Wall and Saige Rankin

Manchester extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 15 on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-8. They lost 3-0 to the Fairless Falcons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Saige Rankin and Ryley Wall certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Rankin had nine digs and one assist, while Wall had 11 digs.

As for Fairless, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1. The game marked their most dominant victory of the season so far.

Morgan Burdge was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 15 digs and two aces. Burdge is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season.

Manchester didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Canton South on the 4th. As for Fairless, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Orrville on the 4th.
