Baseball Recap: Hilliard Takes a Loss

Hilliard and Lafayette squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Hilliard had to settle for second. They came up short against the Hornets, falling 10-0. The shutout was out of character for the Red Flashes seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Hilliard's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Lafayette, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 19-2.

Hilliard does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lafayette, they will challenge Branford at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Hornets 2.6, the Buccaneers 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
