Preview: Peachtree Ridge Lions vs. Lambert Longhorns
The Peachtree Ridge Lions will be playing at home against the Lambert Longhorns at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Peachtree Ridge will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
Peachtree Ridge stacked a seventh blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 42-7 win over Duluth. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-0.
Peachtree Ridge found their leader in underclassman Darnell Kelly, who rushed for 46 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 179 yards and a touchdown. The team also got some help courtesy of Sedric Addison, who rushed for 78 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Meanwhile, Lambert was the victim of a rough 37-16 defeat at the hands of Milton on Friday. Lambert has struggled against Milton recently, as their game on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Peachtree Ridge's win bumped their season record to 9-1 while Lambert's defeat dropped theirs to 8-2.
Peachtree Ridge beat Lambert 7-0 when the teams last played back in September of 2019. Will Peachtree Ridge repeat their success, or does Lambert have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
