Volleyball Game Preview: Lehi Pioneers vs. Lone Peak Knights + How To Watch

Lehi is 1-9 against Lone Peak since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Pioneers will host the Knights at 6:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Lehi lost 3-0 to Skyridge on Thursday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-12, 25-21.

Lehi's defeat came about despite a quality game from Paige Wakumoto, who had 18 digs and one assist. Alea Tauai also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Meanwhile, Lone Peak faced Skyridge in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Knights took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons.

The final score came out to 25-22, 25-17, 14-25, 25-16.

Lehi's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Lone Peak, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-9.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: Lehi has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 10.4 aces per game. However, it's not like Lone Peak struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
