Baseball Recap: Mount Sinai Comes Up Short

Mount Sinai was the 20-6 winner over Rocky Point when they last played one another back in May of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs fell 4-1 to the Eagles on Tuesday.

Mount Sinai saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shawn Flannery, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Mount Sinai dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Rocky Point, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season.

While Mount Sinai had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
