Baseball Recap: McComb Comes Up Short

McComb was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Raymond Rangers, falling 20-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rangers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-7 last Friday.

McComb saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Antonio Dyson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

McComb's record now sits at 1-8. As for Raymond, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-11.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as McComb Tigers face off against Lawrence County Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. McComb will need to watch out since Lawrence County has now posted at least ten runs in their last five matches. As for Raymond, they will be playing at home against Richland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Raymond's pitchers better be ready for this one: Richland has averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season.
